Becca's Dream

Dr. K, who, first correctly diagnosed Becca and who we credit with saving her life and keeping her alive, shared some letters with me. When we first realized Becca needed to be transported to a larger facility Dr. K. made all the arrangements. He had written the U.O.C. Hosp. and told them he was sending a patient with proteus spinal meningitis. They wrote him back and said check your labs again no one gets proteus spinal menigitis.  A few months later he showed me the apology letter from U.O.C. stating they did indeed verify that Becca had proteus spinal meningitis and were very sorry for the first letter. (Her illness was as flukish as you can get.)
